The Gila Resources Information Project (GRIP) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit environmental organization that promotes community health by protecting our environment and natural resources in southwestern New Mexico. GRIP‘s programs encompass the following areas: responsible mining, environmental health, aquifer protection, healthy rivers, community planning and climate protection and sustainability.

The Southwest Enviornmental Center
The Southwest Environmental Center, established in 1991, works to reverse the accelerating loss of plants and animals worldwide by protecting and restoring native wildlife and their habitats in the Southwestern borderlands. This work is accomplished through grassroots advocacy, education, and on-the-ground restoration projects.

Viva Verde Project
Viva Verde connects community members in southern New Mexico with the local green goods, services and resources to be more energy efficient, save on energy costs, and to live more lightly on the planet through an on-line green business and resource directory, residential energy efficiency program, green event calendar and green event/news updates.

Wild Earth Guardians protects and restores wildlife, wild rivers, and wild places in the American West. We have four programs focusing on wildlife, wild places, wild rivers, and climate and energy. Using a potent combination of grassroots advocacy, scientific research and legal action, WildEarth Guardians has made New Mexico more sustainable.
